Real ID Information

The Oklahoma Real ID is a driver’s license or ID card that is also a federally accepted form of identification.  Oklahoma Real ID cards are marked with a gold star. 

What you need for Real ID.

  1. Proof of identity/lawful presence in the United States (i.e., original or certified birth certificate or valid US Passport, Consular Report of Birth Abroad, unexpired Employment Authorization Card, Naturalization Certificate, Certificate of Citizenship, Valid, unexpired Foreign Passport with a valid Unexpired US Visa and valid I-94 issued by DHS.)

Important Notice
If your name is different from the document which is presented from Section #1 (i.e., due to adoption, marriage, divorce, court ordered name change, etc.) or is not the same on all your documents, you must provide additional documents with legal proof of every name change.  Each document must be an original or a certified copy.

  1. Know your social security number. You must provide your social security number for verification.  Proof of the number is not required – it is required that you know your number.
  2. Provide 2 proofs of current Oklahoma address. You must provide 2 proofs of your current address.  Both your name and current residential address must appear on the documents.  Junk mail, personal letters or forwarded mail will not be accepted.

The following documents are acceptable:

  • Utility bills (electric, telephone, water, etc.
  • Copy of previous years federal of Oklahoma tax return
  • Current mortgage statement of residential lease
  • Valid conceal carry permit
  • Voter ID Card
  • Social Security Administration document
  • Oklahoma/Tribal title or registration
  • Agricultural Permit
  • Pilots License
